St. Paul Superhero Day & Raffle! - Monday, April 27
Dear St. Paul Catholic School Community,
On Monday, April 27th St Paul CES will be holding its second SUPERHERO DAY in support of the Wish Heart Fund which helps children fighting cancer at McMaster Hospital. Staff and students are invited to dress up in their favourite superhero costumes (no weapons or masks please) and make a donation to help us achieve our goal of $1500!
The Before & After Care Program is hosting its own Art Show on Wednesday, April 29 with proceeds also going to the Wish Heart Fund. Parents who plan to purchase art at this event do not have to donate on Superhero Day as well...unless they want to 😊.
How to Donate:
- Students can bring in a toonie or loonie on Superhero Day to be collected by their homeroom teacher
- Use School Cash On-line
- Parents can donate directly to the Wish Heart Fund (all donations receive a tax receipt) to the St Paul Superhero Day Team at St Paul Superhero Day.
How Your Donation Helps:
100% of the money we donate will go to the Wish Heart Fund, which helps children at McMaster Children’s Hospital feel more comfortable and happier during their treatments. Your donations help pay for things like:
- 🧊 Slushie drinks that help kids feel better during medicine treatments
- 🌡️ Medical supplies like thermometers and special equipment so kids can rest at home
- 🧸 Toys and small gifts that cheer kids up after scary tests or long days in the hospital
- 😊 Gift cards to help families cover the cost of essential items during long hospital stays
When St. Paul students donate money, you are being real-life superheroes—using kindness, generosity, and love to help other children smile and feel strong. 💙
Furthermore, along with dressing up and making donations (School Cash On-line, directly to the WHF, or bring money to school), another way to support the Wish Heart Fund and kids fighting cancer, is for your children to buy raffle tickets for these kapow-worthy prizes. Tickets are only 3 for $1.00 and they are being sold every day until SUPERHERO DAY. Thank you!!
